Dr. Iselande Desyr is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner as well as a Family Nurse Practitioner for all age groups. She has completed two Masters Degrees in Nursing at Sacred University, Fairfield, CT one as a Clinical Nurse Leader and the second as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Post-Masters at Regis College in Weston Massachusetts, and her Doctorate Degree at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Nursing Education at Liberty University.

 

Dr. Desyr has an impressive academic background, both personally and professionally.   She is courtesy faculty and a preceptor at Yale University in New Haven Connecticut and a contracted adjunct faculty member at Liberty University. Dr. Desyr has over 25 years of experience in various clinical settings.

 

As a Dual-Certified Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Desyr’s goal is to provide holistic care to a diverse population, equipping clients towards self-actualization and optimal functioning.

She provides a psychiatric evaluation using effective clinical skills, develops treatment plans (which involves the biopsychosocial aspect of the patient care), provides psycho-education, and collaborates with other professional members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in providing patient centered care utilizing evidence-based practices.
